Weather Forecast Prepared Wednesday Evening, May 22nd, 2019
Dry and 60s again for the overnight hours and through Thursday Morning.
Temperatures should average in the low/mid 90s by Thursday-Memorial Day. Due to a large area of high pressure, we will likely stay mostly dry. Can't rule out a few pop up storms at times, but overall those chances are small. The better daily chances could be in the Blue Ridge Mtns and along the Plateau, otherwise sunny to partly sunny each day.
These temps will be close to breaking or could tie current record highs from late week and through Memorial Day
This dry and hot pattern will last in to the majority of next week too. This ridge of high pressure might finally weaken its grip on the Tennessee Valley by late next week leading to possibly better afternoon shower chances by next Thursday and Friday.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 60s to near 70. Light wind.
THURSDAY: Sunny to partly sunny with an afternoon high in the lower 90s. Only a slight chance for an afternoon "pop up", especially in the Blue Ridge Mtns.
THURSDAY NIGHT: A fair sky with an overnight low in the upper 50s.
FRIDAY: Sunny to partly sunny and hot. Again, only a slight chance for an afternoon pop up shower. An afternoon high in the low 90s.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Mostly dry, and HOT and humid. Highs in the low to mid 90s. Only a few pop up storms possible.
