The Silverdale Lady Seahawks did it.

After playing five games in four days, they are Division II A state champions.

They defeated Tipton-Rosemark 6-4 Friday afternoon.

Maddie Tankersley was in the circle for the Lady Seahawks.

She went the distance, giving up only six hits.

After the game, Tankersley said, "It means the world, you know I'm so proud of this team. We have a fairly young team, so to be able to get this far, we were definitely the underdogs."
