The Ringgold Tigers are moving on to the state semi-finals next week against Westminster in Atlanta.

On Wednesday, the Tigers defeated Appling County, sweeping the doubleheader.

Appling County drove up from southeast Georgia to face the Tigers, who are ranked #1 in AAA in three different polls.

Ringgold built a lead off the bats of Nathan Camp and Gavin Hollis.

Both hit solo home runs.

And Holden Tucker, son of head coach Brent Tucker, was on the mound.

He was solid.

He struck out batter after batter and escaped trouble in the mid innings of the game.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Tigers had a 2-0 lead and bases loaded.

3-2 count and Appling's pitcher strikes the batsman.

The Tigers walk in an insurance run to make it 3-0.

They hold on for a 3-2 victory.

Tucker gets the win in a complete game in Game one.
