The Heritage Generals had to go to extra innings against West Laurens in game two of the third round of the AAAA playoffs.

But the Generals responded when they needed it most.

Heritage scored six runs in the 10th inning for a 6-1 victory in game two of the best out of three series.

In game one, Cole Wilcox was his normal brilliant self.

He pitched a four-hit shutout, propelling the Generals to a 6-0 win.

In the second inning, center fielder Luke Grant made a spectacular running and diving catch that sparked the home crowd.

The Generals travel to Cartersville for the semifinal round next Tuesday.
