GPS tops Baylor in final game of regular season, but Baylor gets #1 seed

The two arch rivals met at GPS Tuesday evening with a lot on the line.

Baylor gets on the board first. Sophie Piskos slapped a shot to third base in the first inning.

Cheyenne Lindsey raced home and beats the throw from first at the plate.

The Red Raiders go up 1-0.

But GPS gets out of the inning with the strikeout.

The Bruisers had a 4-run 4th inning. Ansley Blevins crushed a three-run home run.

Hannah Sanders plated the other RBI.

GPS defeats Baylor 4-3.

But Baylor gets the number one seed in the East /Mid Region for the state tournament because of run differential.

They beat GPS 5-3 back on April 13.

The two rivals split the series.
