LAFAYETTE, Ga. -- UPDATE (Monday 6:45 p.m.):
The National Weather Service has confirmed that scattered thunderstorms that moved north of LaFayette Friday night produced an EF-0 tornado.
According to the NWS' survey, the tornado touched down near the intersection of Wheeler Road and Warren Road, just east of US Highway 27/1.
The NWS says the tornado reached peak wind speeds of 80 miles per hour, and took down trees and power lines along its short, non-continuous path of 1.3 miles.

Strong storms moved through Walker County Friday evening.
Our viewers have submitted videos which appear to show a funnel cloud and even a possible tornado.
Wind damage has been reported on Lake Howard Road and Ringgold Road north of LaFayette and near Catlett.
The National Weather Service will have to confirm whether this was a tornado.
