WASHINGTON (Circa) -- President Donald Trump plans to visit areas impacted by Hurricane Florence next week, the White House confirmed Friday.
Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Trump will travel south to the region early or mid-week "once it is determined his travel will not disrupt any rescue or recovery efforts."
Trump was active on Twitter Friday morning sharing posts from federal and state agencies managing relief and recovery efforts. Officials told the Associated Press he has been monitoring the storm from the White House.
“Incredible job being done by FEMA, First Responders, Law Enforcement and all. Thank you!” he wrote around 7:30 a.m.
More than 3,800 federal employees have been dispatched to work with local officials on response to the storm.
