LAS VEGAS (Sinclair Broadcast Group) - "We're pinned down here with a bunch of civilians."

Dispatch audio from a shooting in Las Vegas that left more than 50 people dead and hundreds more injured shows the tense moments faced by police trying to track down the suspect.

In the audio, obtained by The Blast, emergency responders are heard describing some of the injuries in the crowd.

"We can't worry about victims," one person responds.

"We need to stop the shooter before we have more victims! Anybody have eyes on the shooter?"

64-year-old shooting suspect Stephen Paddock was found dead by police. At the time of this post it was unclear whether he was killed by police, or killed himself.

He was shooting into the crowd from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Casino.

In the dispatch audio, police describe the gun used as a semi-automatic firearm.

"I see the shots coming from Mandalay Bay!"
