Body camera: Officers save man from fiery crash in Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
Police have released body camera footage that shows officers pulling a man from a fiery crash in northwest Oklahoma City.
The video shows the moments officers arrived to a crash just before 10 p.m. March 29 along Interstate 40 near Meridian.
As police pull up to the vehicle wrecked in the ditch, fire can be seen coming from under the hood.
Officers then break out the windows and pull the driver, 40-year-old Raymond Pascher, from the vehicle. Police reports show that officers noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from Pascher as they carried him away from the scene.
Shortly after Pascher was taken from the vehicle, it became engulfed in flames. Pascher reportedly could not remember how the crash occurred or where he was.
Pascher was then transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. Police reports indicate he will be arrested for driving under the influence.
