Woman, two dogs escape Monday morning house fire in Chattanooga

A resident of a home on Carr Terrace and two dogs are looking for a new home after a fire Monday morning.

Chattanooga Fire Department Spokesman Bruce Garner says the fire broke out at 4605 Carr Terrace just before 6:30 a.m.

Firefighters with Quint 6, Quint 7, Squad 7, Engine 4, and Quint 8 made an aggressive interior attack and put out the fire in 15 minutes.

The Incident Commander, Lieutenant Julius Hubbard, reported heavy fire and smoke showing when firefighters arrived.

Garner says the one occupant and her two dogs were out of the home when firefighters arrived.

No one was hurt. Garner syas the cause of the fire is under investigation. The property loss is estimated at $25,000.
