This Memorial Day, we remember the men and women who served in the military, and didn't make it home.

Each year, a ceremony is held to honor the people who lost their lives for our country.

This year's event also recognizes the 100th anniversary of World War I.

Typically, it's held at the National Cemetery, but because of rain it was moved to the National Guard Armory.

Several local and state leaders have took part in the ceremony, including Representative Chuck Fleischmann, Mayor Andy Berke, and Mayor Jim Coppinger.

Josh Roe spoke with Rep. Fleischmann after the ceremony. Watch the interview below.
