MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WZTV) - A man was arrested after police say he poured gasoline on the floor of a room with a baby inside.

Demarcus Love is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated arson, FOX 13 News reported.

Memphis Police said Love became angry while arguing with a woman about their child in a home along Northwood. Police said when things escalated, the mom took the baby in another room.

Love then grabbed a can of gas and started pouring it on the floor of where the baby and the woman were located.

Court records show Love then said 'I'll burn this place and be done."

Demarcus Love fled from the scene but was later arrested. He's due in court on Tuesday.
