Two men die after shooting in Harrison Tuesday

On Wednesday, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) identified the shooting victims, and revealed that both of them have died.

35-year-old Shawn Pruitt Foster died shortly after arriving at a local hospital.

Wednesday afternoon, the HCSO confirmed 71-year-old Melvin Lee Scott also succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities are investigating after two people were injured in what's believed to be a shooting incident in northern Hamilton County on Tuesday.

Our crew on the scene saw one patient being loaded into a LifeForce helicopter and a second loaded into an ambulance.

The call came out just before 1 p.m. to a residence at 12896 Eldridge Road.

In a preliminary report, police say a domestic situation occurred between two men at the residence, and at some point a gun was introduced to the situation.

Two people were taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, one of the by LifeForce helicopter.

Police are not releasing the names of the males involved in the incident at this time.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says the scene is secure, and there is no threat to the public.
