Two lanes on I-24 E will be closed this weekend near mile marker 179 between the Williams Street and Long Street bridges.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation says crews are making concrete repairs. The two I-24 E lanes coming from the west of the work zone will not be affected.

The work is scheduled to be completed by 6 p.m. Sunday.

The U.S. 27 S exit ramp to I-24 E will be closed during the work. Traffic will be detoured onto I-24 W and travel to Exit 175.

The THP will help with traffic control. Drivers are encouraged to obey signs and pay close attention to changing conditions in the work zone.

This is part of a statewide on-call concrete repair contract. This work is weather dependent.
