The shooting happened at a home on the 9800 block of Highway 411 in Polk County.

He provided more details in a news conference Thursday morning (watch below):

Sheriff Ross says investigators are interviewing witnesses to learn more about what happened.

Sheriff Ross says both of the still-unidentified victims are in their twenties.

This is the first homicide investigation of the year for Polk County.

Watch our 5pm report below:

We spoke to Pastor Samuel Burger Thursday afternoon. He lives right next door to where the shooting happened.

"I had no idea. It's just different when it’s close to you," Burger said.

He's only lived in his home for a year, but he's called this community home all his life.

"You hear about it on the news happening in different places and out here in this rural community - it is a little different. It’s kind of shocking," Burger added.

He says he would never expect anything like that to happen there.

Right now, no one is in custody.

Depend on us to update this story as we learn more.
