Nolan Elementary School in Chattanooga has teamed up with Erlanger Health System to help a Houston hospital hit by Hurricane Harvey.

Erlanger says together they collected cleaning supplies, bottled water, hygiene items, dry goods, clothes and linens for the staff of Ben Taub Hospital.

"The donations you are so generously offering will go a long way to help meet the needs of our associates," says a Ben Taub spokesperson.

Erlanger says the donations will be shipped soon to Houston with the help of Covenant Transport.

"We're proud of our associates and community partners for answering the call to help those in the wake of the recent hurricanes," said Erlanger President and CEO Kevin M Spiegel.
