Juvenile arrested in Hamilton Place Mall shooting

On Friday, January 20th, Chattanooga Police reported that the juvenile pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted murder and one count of reckless endangerment in juvenile court.


Chattanooga Police say a juvenile was arrested and charged in this incident on Monday. The unidentified juvenile is charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of reckless endangerment.

UPDATE: Chattanooga Police have identified the victims in a Hamilton Place Mall shooting Friday.

Police say Malik Beavers, 18, and Adam Bulloch, 19, were each shot one time.

The victims were taken to the hospital. Police say their injuries are not considered serious.

Investigators say there was a single suspect in the shooting. They say the shooting was gang motivated. If you have any information, call police.


Chattanooga police say two people were shot in a parking lot outside of Hamilton Place Mall.


The initial call came in just before 4 p.m. Friday.

Hamilton Place marketing director Kim Carson says the shooting happened in the parking lot outside of Sears Auto Center.

Sears and JC Penney closed as a precaution.

Chattanooga Police public information officer Victor Miller says there was a fight between several people outside Sears.

Miller tells us two people were shot, one of them is a gang member.

Police took one suspect into custody and detained a person of interest.
