The Chattanooga Police (CPD) have identified 55-year-old William Green as the man injured during a home invasion on Graysville Road early Monday morning.

Green told police that several people people were in his home when he came in.

It was at that point that Green told officers he was tied up and ordered to tell the suspects where he kept his money. He was then burned.

Green was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and police say he was in serious condition at the time he was transported by Hamilton County EMS.

NewsChannel 9 has since learned that Green was transferred to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Austell, Georgia for treatment.

CPD says Green was specifically targeted, and that there is no general threat to the public.
