Suspect arrested in Tuesday's deadly shooting on Carousel Road in Chattanooga

On Tuesday morning, Chattanooga Police released more details about the shooting, and say they have made an arrest in the case.

26-year-old Christopher Turner faces charges that include criminal homicide, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and two counts of aggravated assault.

Police also identified the victim as 24-year-old Jamichael Eddins. Officers say the other person who was shot, 28-year-old Randall Davenport, has been treated and released from the hospital..

Investigators says "the suspect and victims were in a verbal disorder which had escalated" when the shootings happened.

At about 12:30 a.m., officers spotted Turner at a traffic stop at 1300 North Holtzclaw Avenue. They arrested him without incident.

Chattanooga police (CPD) say two men were shot, and one of the killed in a shooting on Carousel Road Tuesday evening.

Police received the call around 5:25 p.m. Tuesday.

CPD says they believe the victim was dead on arrival, and the second victim was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Chattanooga Police do not have any suspect info they can release at this time.
