UPDATE: Motorcycle driver, Chattanooga Fire Dept. captain injured in Sale Creek crash
SALE CREEK, Tenn. —
We now know the names of the two people critically injured in a crash on Mayflower Road in Sale Creek Thursday night.
The Chattanooga Fire Department has identified the motorcycle passenger as Captain Shellie Thorne. The motorcycle driver is her friend, Jerry White, Jr. of Sale Creek.
Both were critically injured when investigators say a car didn't yield to the motorcycle, and turned out in front of it. The vehicle driver was uninjured in the crash.

ORIGINAL STORY (Thursday):
Authorities say two people are in serious condition after a crash between a car and a motorcycle in Sale Creek Thursday night.
It happened on the 1400 block of Mayflower Road around 7:45 p.m.
According to the preliminary report, the driver of the car didn't yield to the motorcycle, and turned out in front of it.
Hamilton County Sheriff's Office spokesman Matt Lea says Hamilton County EMS took the motorcycle driver and passenger to a local hospital in critical condition.
The car driver was uninjured.
