Knox County Government says their web servers were attacked on election night, but results of the election were not affected.

The county government tweeted Tuesday night that the website suffered a successful denial of service (DOS) attack.

They say voting machines aren't connected to the internet, and results were unaffected.

Our Knoxville affiliate station WATE-TV says the county's websites were down until 9:30 p.m.
