Weather Forecast Prepared Tuesday Evening, May 22nd, 2018
A continuation of this muggy weather pattern through Thursday. A mix of clouds and sun each day with afternoon highs in the mid/upper 80s. Some pop up t-showers are possible each afternoon. The main threats being heavy downpours and lightning.
The weather pattern for the Memorial Day Weekend could be quite humid along with a daily round of afternoon and evening t-showers. This muggy pattern will be due to an area of low pressure in the Gulf. Still a lot of questions as to where exactly it could move inland. And, whether or not there could be any tropical development from the system. Either way, it keeps us in a humid weather pattern that could produce daily afternoon and evening t-showers.
I wouldn't cancel plans, but be prepared for afternoon storms, so have a plan B. If the "low" tracks our way, a much better coverage of storms on Memorial Day.
TONIGHT: Some t-showers are possible early, otherwise a cloudy and muggy night with a low in the mid/upper 60s. Patchy dense fog through the early morning hours.
WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny with isolated afternoon and evening storms. Afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s.
WEDNESDAY EVENING: Some t-showers during the evening, then partly cloudy with a low in the upper 60s.
THURSDAY: Partly sunny and humid with mainly pop up afternoon t-showers. Expect an afternoon high in the upper 80s.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Partly to mostly cloudy Fri-Monday. Scattered, mainly afternoon showers and storms. Some sunshine mixed in. Some of the storms will create heavy downpours. Most of the storms will end during the evening hours. Highs in the 80s. While a washout is not expected, that could change if a tropical system develops in the Gulf.
