Alyssa is a native of sunny South Florida but moved with her family to Northeast Florida where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Communications from the University of North Florida.

Alyssa began her broadcasting career at the age of 13, working as a broadcaster for Radio Disney. She then moved on to work at a number of news stations in Jacksonville, gaining her experience behind-the-scenes as an Associate Producer & Studio Technician. During college, she was hired on as a reporter at WOKV Newstalk Radio. While at WOKV, Alyssa reported on everything from wasteful government spending, military homecomings, to presidential primaries.

Alyssa had the honor witnessing and reporting, nationally, on the CNN debate at her alma mater in 2012.

In 2011, Alyssa made the move to Chattanooga, Tennessee and started her career as a Multi Media Journalist. In January of 2015, Alyssa stepped into the role of Weekend Anchor for NewsChannel9 Weekend.

On her days off, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her husband, Stephen & their two dogs, Bentley & Bella. She also enjoys taking part in car shows with her car club, shopping & trying new restaurants.
