Soddy-Daisy parents booked into Hamilton Co. jail, cited for providing alcohol to minors
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. —
Two Soddy-Daisy parents have been booked into jail and cited after police say they provided alcohol at a 16-year-old's birthday party.
Police say Hamilton County Schools employee Jennifer Bearden and her husband Travis provided alcohol to minors two weeks ago.
The police report says officers found several beer cans, liquor bottles and a keg at the rental facility they were using.
Jennifer and Travis Bearden had until this Saturday to turn themselves in.
Both have been cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and booked into Hamilton County Jail.
Jennifer Bearden is listed as a bookkeeper for several elementary schools. A spokesperson for Hamilton County schools says she will stay off school property until the court case is complete.
Any disciplinary action will happen at that time.
