Rain-soaked roads still an issue in Hamilton County Monday morning

UPDATE (Monday):

Road problems persisted Monday morning, with roads closed at Hixson Pike and Grubb Road.

As of Monday morning, Chattanooga Dispatch tells us Boy Scout Road in Hamilton County is back open.

There are some scattered power outages on EPB's outage map as of Sunday morning, but there are not many.

PREVIOUSLY:

Rain all day Saturday caused problems for Chattanooga area drivers. Several locations experienced flooding.

The Cummings Highway ramp off I-24 was covered in water. The ramp is a frequent trouble spot when it rains.

In Middle Valley, the area near Thrasher Pike and Middle Valley Road saw flooded roadways. Neighborhood side and main roads were both impacted.

The Signal Mountain Police Department warned drivers to be careful because of flooding.

Later in the evening, the Department wrote the roadways were clear, but still advised people be careful.
