One person shot at Dalton towing & recovery lot
DALTON, Ga. —
UPDATE: Bruce Frazier with the Dalton Police says the victim in Friday's shooting has died from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
He says an employee returned to A-1 Towing and Recovery after running an errand, and found the man shot.
The victim was still alive when the worker called 911, but later died at the hospital.
ORIGINAL: The Dalton Police Department is investigating what it calls an apparent shooting at the A1 Towing & Recovery lot at 1502 East Morris Street.
DPD spokesman Bruce Frazier says at about 12:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting victim being found in an office at the lot.
Frazier says responding officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was rushed to Hamilton Medical Center.
Frazier says officers have secured the scene and are investigating.
