The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office welcomes a new four-legged officer from Slovakia on Tuesday.

Tynne is the newest K9 Deputy and Hamilton County's only trained tracking dog.

Tynne is almost two years old.

The Sheriff's Office says she is a Hanover Hound which is a breed known to have a sensitive nose, and says Hanoverian Hounds are some of the best tracking and hunting dogs in the world.

Tynne was born in Slovakia where she was bred to be a world class tracking dog.

Not only does Tynne have her own badge number with the sheriff's office, she also has her own European Union passport.

She cost just under 11,000 dollars and it's all privately funded by the local AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation.

The Sheirff's office says she underwent formal training in South Carolina.

Tynne's tracking abilities will serve as a vital asset to the department.
