A Hamilton County man will spend 25 years in prison for the beating death of a 51-year-old man.

Tony Rector's body was found at a the Soddy Presbyterian Cemetery on December 29th, 2015.

On Thursday, Dekota Burchard pleaded guilty to second degree murder, a lesser charge than his initial charge of first degree murder.

Three men were charged in the case.

Last June, a jury found Chad Massengale guilty of first-degree murder. Police say Massengale admitted to beating Tony Rector at a home on Dallas Hollow Road. He also admitted to beating Rector up and then stomping on him several more times, ultimately causing his death.

Autopsy reports show Rector was beaten and stabbed before being dumped in the cemetery.

A third suspect, Roy Henderson, will appear in court later this month.
