Four people killed in crash on Highway 411, including 3 from Polk County
LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. —
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says four people were killed in a crash on Highway 411 in Loudon County.
Three of the people that were killed were from Polk County.
That's according to a report released by the THP.
The report says 34-year-old Darrell Brewe of Maryville was driving a GMC van Saturday night when he crossed over the yellow line and crashed head on into a Nissan Altima.
Police say Brewer was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.
39-year-old Winnie Burris of Old For and a teenage boy and girl were also killed in the accident.
Another person, 43-year-old Mitchell Armour, was injured in the crash.
There is no information on Armour’s condition right now.
Counselors are on hand at Chilhowie Middle School on Monday to help students in grief.
